Help with search and explanation of data

The UNEP-WCMC Species Database, which contains data mainly on species¹ of conservation concern, has been developed over a period of c. 30 years, and includes information on c. 73,000 animal and 141,000 plant names (including synonyms and hybrids).

¹ Although the term species is used to refer to the names in the database and some data subsets, the technically correct term is taxon (or taxa, in plural), as conservation data can relate to the family, genus, specific or infraspecific levels. The term species is used to reflect the common usage of this word.

Do you see an error in what is shown? Or do you know more about the species than we are showing? Your help is greatly appreciated. Why not send us an email with further information so that we can correct or extend the information provided?
