Project Outputs include:
- Training staff of KMTNC
in biodiversity assessment and monitoring techniques for
the partcipatory management of protected areas;
- “Guidelines for Biodiversity
Assessment and Monitoring in Protected Areas”
in English and later to be translated into Nepali;
- Publications describing the impacts of the protected area
on the livelihoods of local people, the biodiversity of
the Annapurna Protected Area, and the role of tourism in
these impacts;
- A final project workshop to disseminate the results of
the project in Nepal.

The project also produced a report with recommendations for
the management of the ACA, based on the outcomes of the field
research and recommendations on further development of biodiversity
assessment and monitoring capacity. |
